There is something powerful about stepping away from the day-to-day work of running a business and putting yourself in a room full of people who understand the challenges, opportunities, and constant change of the advertising industry. That was one of the biggest gifts of attending the BABA Summit 2026.

For three days, I had the opportunity to be surrounded by nearly 300 advertising professionals who were all there for similar reasons: to learn, connect, challenge their thinking, and prepare for what is coming next. The energy in the room was contagious. Every conversation seemed to uncover a new perspective, a shared challenge, or a fresh idea worth bringing back to my own team and clients.

Some of the most valuable moments did not happen during the formal sessions. They happened in the hallway conversations, the networking breaks, the shared meals, and the deeper discussions with people I had just met. I was reminded again how much we can learn when we are willing to ask questions, listen closely, and be open to the experiences of others.

It was also meaningful to reconnect with familiar faces. In an industry that moves as quickly as ours does, relationships matter. Seeing previous acquaintances, catching up on what has changed, and hearing how other companies are navigating growth, technology, staffing, client expectations, and shifting media trends was both encouraging and affirming.

The Summit reinforced something I believe deeply: growth requires staying curious. It is easy to get comfortable with what we already know, but the advertising landscape is changing too quickly for any of us to stand still. AI, automation, measurement, privacy, client expectations, and media fragmentation are all reshaping how we serve clients and build sustainable companies.

For me, events like this are not just professional development. They are business development, leadership development, and company development. They give me space to think bigger about where KeyMedia Solutions is headed, how we can better serve our clients, and what we need to strengthen inside our own organization to stay ahead.

I left the BABA Summit with new ideas, new connections, and a renewed sense of excitement about the future of our industry. More importantly, I left with a reminder that we do not grow in isolation. We grow through collaboration, conversation, and the willingness to keep learning from the people around us.
